Iconic NT short drives (2–5 Days)

Waterfall hopping around Litchfield National Park (2 days)

Kick things off from Darwin and head south to Berry Springs, where locals know the best waterholes around. Stop by the Berry Springs Tavern for a feed, then dive into Litchfield’s famed swimming spots like Wangi Falls, Florence Falls, and Buley Rockhole. Feeling adventurous? Extend your trip to Dundee Beach or Crab Claw Island, a fishing hotspot of the Top End.

Kakadu Explorer (4 days)

Kakadu is a world unto itself. Home to native wildlife, ancient rock art, and some breathtaking scenery, it’s a must-do. Start at Jabiru and visit Ubirr’s famous Aboriginal rock art, then catch the sunset over the floodplains. A Yellow Water Cruise from Cooinda is a great way to spot crocs in their natural habitat. Savannah Way (14 days)  

If remote outback camping and endless starry skies are your jam, this Queensland-to-NT route is the ticket. Wander through 15 national parks, dip into Mataranka’s thermal pools, and try your luck with the Million Dollar Fish challenge. Make sure to drop by the iconic Daly Waters Pub—a true Territory legend.

Binns Track (10 days)  

This four-wheel-drive adventure winds from the South Australian border through the NT’s lesser-known treasures. Explore gold rush towns, fossick for stones, and marvel at the giant granite boulders of Karlu Karlu/Devils Marbles. The track ends at Timber Creek, where fishing or a boat cruise will top off your adventure.

Arnhem Way (7–10 days) 

Arnhem Land is an experience like no other. This journey from Katherine to Nhulunbuy immerses travellers in rich Aboriginal culture, from guided tours to art galleries showcasing traditional works. The trip also leads you through pristine beaches, prime fishing spots, and wetlands bustling with native wildlife.
